AACF encourages you to access child care licensing information during your child care search. This includes substantial complaints, and access to any public files pertaining to licensed facilities. To access these files, please contact the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education
Searching for Childcare

Contact AACF: Contact us for FREE referrals to programs based on your families needs and preferences
Explore Options: Consider the different types of care available.

Use Quality Indicators: To understand the experience your child will have in a particular childcare program.

Check Licensing Compliance: Contact the North Carolina Division of Childcare Development and Early Education at ncchildcare.ncdhhs.gov
4.
Contact Programs: Contact each program on your referral list to ask questions and find out whether space is available. AACF can assist you in this step.

Visit Programs: Use this quality checklist from Childcare Aware of America when you visit each childcare program you are considering, childcare aware.org

Compare: Compare the programs you visited.
